LabVIEW for CAEN V1729

Hi,

I am tring to use LabVIEW to do DAQ with CAEN v1729 digitizer and V1718 VME-USB2.0 bridge. My computer system is windows 8, and LabVIEW version is 2014. I have installed the v1718 driver ,CAENDigitizer library, CAENVMELib, and CAENComm library.

When I started to communicate with v1729 according to CAEN's guidebook ,I can't even do the simplest thing: get the board information.

Who can help me figure out what the problem is?

The error reported is following:

CAEN DGTZ Open Digitizer.vi
CAENComm.lvlib:Error Converter (ErrCode or Status).vi<ERR>
Open Device.vi
Unable to Open the requested Device

Hello, I'm just starting to work with CAEN digitizers using Labview.  Did you get anywhere with your project? NI-MAX  does not see the devices.
