LabVIEW load error code 6 after crash

Hi all,

After a crash while running my VI (LabVIEW 8.6.1 on Windows XP), if I try to open it, I get a pop-up with the following message:

"LabVIEW: Another user tampered with the VI password.

An error occurred loading VI 'RCS4.3 - BANCO DI COLLAUDO.vi'.

LabVIEW load error code 6: Could not load block diagram."

Any Idea/workaround other than picking an earlier version of the VI (and loosing last two days work)?

Hi Fabrizio,

I've been looking at some other service requests and all I found was that due to the crash the VI has been corrupted...There's not much you can do besides going back to an older version of the VI. I would suggest to do backups frequently...:)

I just had the same error occur in LV 2009 today. Same VI's I've been using on 8.6.1, never occurred on that version. Could be coincidence. After hitting "continue", it appeared to proceed OK. Note that mine was code 89, not 6.
