reading about a bug with ctrl-z not working for the documentation of a VI and snickering about how that made it into production I was reminded about a sign my better-half had up in her cube about 40 years ago that read...

 

Real men don't document. If it was hard to write it should be hard to understand.

Just noticed the icon on green is analog an add is black. Of course,  the poster predates the default red x on black wires.

Cleaning a VI makes it Dirty

 

Not sure if it's really a proverb but the statement is short/vague enough that you want to try searching for some deeper wisdom that probably isn't there.
