Hello everyone!
I am running LabVIEW 8.6 on a Windows XP system. When I open a .vi file (even a blank one) everything seems to be running properly, I can click on objects or add new objects, however, if I have to click outside of the working window, e.g. if I click over to the internet browser or if I open a properties window of an object in my .vi, then when I click back into the original .vi window I can no longer edit anything, i.e. I can't add new objects, I can't even open the file menu. However, the activity monitor still says that LabVIEW is running. I have tried reinstalling LabVIEW 8.6 and the problem persists. No other program on my computer, e.g. the internet browser, do not have the same problem. I will note that some of the devices on my computer are missing drivers (the VGA controller and the PCI data aquisition controller), and I do not know if they are the cause of the error (we are currently working on getting the drivers for them).
Any information on how to go about solving this problem of LabVIEW not responding after clicking outside of the active window, would be extremely helpful.
Cheers!
