How can I make a version 9 LabVIEW compatible with version 8.6? I have a version 8.6 LabVIEW and need to open files sent in that are version 9. Can the version 9 files be saved in a manner that would make them compatible to 8.6?

You can't open newer VIs with an older version. Have the person sending the VIs do a save for previous version. It's right there on the File menu.
