LabView 7.1

I'm trying to program an output on a usb-6525 using LabView 7.1, LabView keeps telling me its not a NI daq and /or not configured in MAX. I'm running MAX 5.1 and it works when I create a task. ?

Hi there,

It's a little difficult to understand what is happening just from your post.  Can you post your code and a screenshot of the error?  It will help others on the board find a solution for you.

I'm not even sure MAX 5.1 is compatible with LabVIEW 7.1.

I can almost garuntee that the NI-DAQ version you have installed (MAX5.1 is fairly recient) has no support for LabVIEW 7.1.  What version of NI DAQ shows in MAX?  if it is newer than 8.9 you have a problem.  See the NI DAQ / LabVIEW Compatability matrix here

Hey it is even up to date!  Nice job NI!

I checked the readme and yup, support starts at version 8.6.

Trying to find which device drivers are compatible with LV 7.1 is tricky though.

http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1346/lang/en  -  These drivers are from 2008.11

It took a couple of steps to find out that NI-DAQ 8.7.2 (included in the drivers from 2008.11) is in fact compatible with LV 7.1  See here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1087/lang/en

I tried finding out which version would be the latest you could use, but searching for that is very painful.  I would try 8.7.2 and if that works, go with it.

Now that's funny.  Smiley LOL

You'd think one of my searches would have at least referenced back here.  The matrix never came up for me.

Thanks for all your support. I'm going to try an earlier version of MAX.
