LabView 8.5 evalaution version has limited functions

Hi,

After evaluating the LV 8.2, I just installed LV 8.5, but it has
a limited number of functions available. For example, there's
no for loop at all. Does anyone know a reason for this?

The problem is that your menu is customized for Express VI.

To change that, right click on the block diagram and bring the "Function" panel up. Click on the "pin" on the right hand side to fix. Now you will see the View button. Click on that and you will see "Change Visible Categories" and select that. A window with Change Visible Categories will come up and you can select all and OK.

At this point, you should be able to see all the pallettes available and you can appreciate better all the power of LabVIEW!

Thanks Barp, that fixes my problem. Another nice feature
in LV that I wasn't aware of before .
