Labview 2011 Won't load !! :(

I just downloaded Labview 2011 and installed it.

The install process worked just fine.

After I rebooted my PC I clicked on labview and it wasn't coming up.

The CPU was at 100% on one core

I looked in the task manager and saw labview.exe*32 at the top of the list hogging my CPU but no Labview windows.

I thought it was possibly just taking a little while but after 5 min to 10 min I lost patience and killed the process.

PC Config:

MS Windows 7 64-bit SP1

AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor

Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-990FXA-UD7 (Socket M2) Motherboard

Any Ideas???

It sounds like something has currupted during your installation.  LabVIEW 2011 supports Windows 7 x64 and your hardware should not be an issue.  I would try uninstalling from "Add/Remove Programs" and reinstall - usually does the trick Smiley Happy

Thanks for the replay.

I did uninstall it.

Redownloaded it from both the website and ftp (ftp.ni.com/support/softlib/labview/labview_development_system/2011)

and installed it.

Could the download be currupt?

Hello Christian,

sorry, but I am not able, to provide more details at the moment. We were able to solve the issue at C.Schmitt's site, but I have to do some investigation at his site. If you have the same problem / specific questions, do not hesitate to write me a PN.

Best regards from Central Germany

Are you able to launch LabVIEW if you right-click and select 'Run as administrator'?
