I have not been able to perform a repair or complete reinstall because the DVD's are still at work. I have at work a 4 core intel computer where we cannot get a number of Labview 2012 toolkits activated. The LV on my AMD computer activated straight away when connected directly to the internet. At work we are not allowed to have any direct connection to the internet, forum or use webcasts.
You are right that Ivanlys.dll is important. I have just tried to operate Fuzzy logic and l got an error message that was sent directly to NI so l hope this will help.
At work we did try and remove labview 2012 from the computer and we were forced to do a total rebuilt because we could not remove it. All this work was in vain because the same problem exists. So currently l have two computers that do not have Labview 2012 operating correctly. So l am using at work LV 8.6.1 instead at the moment.
Since 26/11/2011 l have been waiting on another labview 8.5 instrument control exercises cd. The one l have does not have all the exercises as per the book. I have purchased all the hardware so that l can train to develop code for both GPIB and serial communication. LV 2012 on my AMD computer finally allows me to operate my instrument control hardware. I originally purchased the hardware two years ago but could not use it because after l did a number of online courses where l was forced to download the latest LV program at the time l could not get LV 8.6.1 to operate again on my old single core Intel computer. I was told to reformat the computer but l have too many other important programs on it so l purchased a new AMD 8 core computer. At the moment for home use l have been told to purchase either a Dell or HP computer to get LV 2012 to operate at home. So for home use l have to wait after Christmas before l am in a position to purchase a new computer. I will get one based on Real time module 2012 specifications. In Australia that is Dell Vostro 470 Mini Tower $1099. I hope to convert it at a later stage into a real time remote computer.
I love my AMD 8 core computer. It is fantastic for handling a number of large images in Photoshop and it has one other unexpected feature. The computer is able highlight to you when a virus or malware gets past all my security. The computer always goes nuts and starts to process at high speed which you can hear easily. So far a system restore and clean disc has been able to fix any problems. On a normal computer you would have no clue why your computer is getting slower and slower.
