Ok from what I can tell this isn't a default program that comes with Windows. If you know you downloaded it then all I can say is that it appears there is a compatibility issue. If you aren't aware of where it came from I would recommend uninstalling and removing it since Windows already has a screen saver.

I too am seeing LabVIEW 2013 (32bit) crashing on my computer, after installing Windows 8.1. I'm not running any vi,s, just launching LabVIEW. Are there any known workarounds?

That seems like a very differenet problem, unrelated to the existing discussions. you should start a new thread.
Did you have LabVIEW already installed and then upgraded the OS to 8.1? What was the previous OS (Windows 7, Windows 8.0, etc.?)

LabVIEW was already installed. Should I start a new thread, or is there another for this issue? I can't imagine I'm the only one with thtisproblem, but this was the only thread I found in my serch.

It is always better to start a new thread, this way you can mark the solution if available. In the current tread, LabVIEW crashes at the screensaver, not when opening LabVIEW.
Have you tried repairing the LabVIEW installation?
You still did not say what the previous OS was. (Personally, I had no problem with LabVIEW when windows 8 upgraded to windows 8.1.)

OK, good to hear. I did go from 8 to 8.1 as well. I will repair, and if I still have trouble, I'll start a new thread.
Thanks
