Labview Professional Development system 2013 with SP2.
When open any VI containing database connectivity subvis and the "startScreensaver.exe" starts LABVIEW crashes w/o any message.
Labview service keeps running and task has to be killed in order to restart LABVIEW.
Tried already repair ... Remove and Reinstalling and service packs.

Hi there,
I'm a little confused. Are you saying that you're using database connectivity sub-VIs and calling startScreensaver.exe? Or are you saying that the screensaver comes on while you're working and LabVIEW crashes? If it's the latter, is your VI running or does this happen when you're just working on a project?

What is SP2? Are you talking about f2? (a patch version is not a service pack version)

I am using databse connectivity toolkit but the .exe I mention its a windows daemon that starts automatically as a service.
Further I noticed that the DB toolkit is irrelevant, the problem ocuurs in general with the Daemon initiation.
Tonight I will post screenshots.

The crash happens in all cases if you work on the VI or even if LABVIEW VI is running.

LabVIEW 2013 is not officially supported with Windows 8.1 (see the readme). What exactly is happening? Can you see LabVIEW but it's unresponsive? Does it close out completely? Be as specific as possible. Also if it ever gives you the option to report the error please do so.

Only one time I had the chance to report the error and I did.
The situation is that when it crashes, front panel and diagram (and project manager) are disappear but the Labview icon only in the task bar remains unresponsive and you cannot close or do anything. The only way after that is to kill the task of LABVIEW and restart it. Even if you restart next time the service starts LABVIEW crashes again.

I'm having some trouble finding anything on "startscreensaver.exe". It looks like it's a third party application from rtsoftwares.com. If this is the case then there's probably a compatibility issue.

Find attached file.
PC is SONY VAIO.
Application is of Windows 8.1.
When the application starts, if I tick "Suspend keys" ans "Stop Script" then LABVIEW does not crash.
I hereby also attach subject files for your reference.
Thanks.
