Labview 7.1 - Database connectivity toolkit with windows 7

Hi,

I am wondering if there if there is a link to where NI posts compatibility with between toolkits and windows operating systems. The link below was the closes I could find

http://www.ni.com/support/labview/lvtool.htm

My main question is if it is possible to install LV7 Database Connectivity toolkit and get it to work on windows7 x64 or x32 OS? I did get LV7 to install but the program could not find/load the VIs contained in the toolkit.

Thank you,

Hey,

So I'm not surprised it doesn't work. With LabVIEW 7 you're using either version 1.0.0 or 1.0.1 of the Database Connectivity Toolset neither of which support Windows 7 as can be found here:

LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolset Readme File

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/201483AB4CEDAFB68625702D0045AFB2?OpenDocument

However, if you're using version 1.0.0 it looks like there was a known issue that would cause problems if used with LabVIEW 7:

What Versions of the Database Connectivity Toolset Are Compatible With Which Versions of LabVIEW?

If the above is what's the problem then you may be able to get it to work, but it's certainly not supported. In general, for future reference, toolkit compatibility for LabVIEW versions generally follow the compatibility of that version of LabVIEW and can be found here:

Thanks Ryan,

The version I am running is DB toolkit 1.0.1, so I guess from the link below will I have to move to windows XP for the labview and toolkit versions to work properly?
