Labview 7.1 on Red Hat AS 4 crashes on startup

This note refers to one aspect of Reference#685013:

I see the following behavior when I start LabView 7.1 on a new RH AS 4 box:

Splash screen starts;
Lower right corner says "init tmp resources"
Program freezes for 5-10 sec;
Prints on terminal: "*** glibc detected *** realloc(): invalid next size: 0x2193d740 ***
Aborted"
Labview closes;

Labview worked for me on a RH WS 3 machine, but not on the newer release, despite trying different install sequences, reboots, etc.

Hi Joe,

Looking at the notes for your Service Request number, it seems like you already got it working and that the issue was identified to be with DAQmx Base. Please let me know if this is not the case. Also, did you ever have LabVIEW running on the AS4 machine?
