Labview 8.2 on a roaming profile on multiple PCs

Has anybody had any experience using LV 8.2 on a roaming profile being used by several PCs at the same time?

this morning we noticed that our PCs are all communicating through labviews memory - for example one would think that a new VI created on a different machine was a file recovered after a crash!

Should serve as a warning - don't use a single roaming profile for multiple PCs with LV 8.2!

Hi Dan,

Sorry you are having trouble with your intended setup of LabVIEW.
LabVIEW has never been intended to work with roaming profiles, and so we have no information on the behaviours you might see with this setup. It is also not an intended configuration and as such is not supported.

You are allowed with the LabVIEW 8 License to install every copy of LabVIEW that you own on 3 PCs, assuming the program is only used by  one user on each set of 3 PCs. This would allow a developer to have a PC on his/her desk, one in the lab and another. (Which I assume was part of the point with the roaming profile). You can then save all your LabVIEW files to a network location or into a SCC management system as long as it support the visual source safe API.
