Good people and some bad people upload old CDs. Including for LabVIEW.

I went looking through our archive, and while I didn't see the proper installation media for 8.2 (not surprising, since we never worked with it), I do see a few packs (still shrink wrapped) which say they are an evaluation CD (looks like they only started with DVDs for those in 8.6).

I don't know if you can use that, but I believe even back then the identity of the system was determined by license activation, so I expect you can. Presumably it doesn't include any drivers. if you want, I can try to send it to you.

I checked archive.org and there is a version that looks genuine.

And pretty comprehensive too :

All LabVIEW versions since 8.0 requires activation, and an active Volume License should be fine for that purpose.

Unfortunately, these older versions were delivered on CD and later DVD, so NI did not include MD5 or other verification methods for the files. So difficult to check for tampered or not.

In this case the uploader seems to be a friendly Italian with a fond memory of the 80'ties.

Hi again

I happened to have an original LabVIEW 8.2 CD including LabVIEW itself but not all the modules.

I now downloaded the comprehensive ZIP of ISO files from archive.org.

I generated a MD5 summary file including the MD5 values for each of the files on the original LabVIEW 8.2 CD.

And did the same for the LabVIEW ISO file. This is easy to do using 'Total Commander'.

The content of the two MD5 summary files was the same. The MD5 summary file is attached.
