Labview 8.6 does not install

Hi all

I am trying to install labview 8.6 but as i double click the autorun. The following window appears but when i click the Install

labview 8.6 option , nothing happens.

Have you tried just running the setup.exe on the CD? That's all that button does.

• What is your OS (XP, Vista, 7, Mac, Linux, etc.)
• Do you have administrator privileges?
• How long did you wait after clicking?
• Could it be there was a security popup that needed to be acknowledged?
• Maybe the CD/DVD is damaged?
• What is your definition of "nothing"? Was there brief disk activity for example?

Hi

1) My OS is XP.

2) No

3) 10 sec

4) No security pop-up

5) DVD is not damaged.

6) Nothing means that there is no activity after clicking

You will need administrative privilege to install LabVIEW. This is stated in the LabVIEW Release Notes.

If that still doesn't work, try to run setup.exe as I mentioned. Also try to copy the data from the optical disc to your hard drive and running it from there?  Sometimes the problem is with the drives.
