Apple likes to change things in its OS very regularly and it is usually not possible to run more complex applications in a newer OS versions for which it was not build/tested.
Here you can find the compatibility chart of LabVIEW versions with the various MacOS versions.
Not being compatible in this chart doesn't mean that it won't work but it is not tested and there is no effort made to make it compatible. Unlike with Windows where you can run VERY old LabVIEW versions on even the latest Windows version, this definitely doesn't work for Apple MacOS. They simply change way to much in not backwards compatible ways between versions that that will work.
Your LabVIEW 8 was released in 2005 (if it is 8.0, only a few years later for other 8.x versions) and your MacOS 10.14 Mojave is from September 2018. That is simply to much asked!

My Labview is 8.2 Mac. I have older versions of macOS going back decades.
what is the last version of the macOS that will run the compiler? A friend has an old Mac 32 bit is he wants to run it on.
I started programming on the Labview first edition on a Mac 2. I was an instrument engineer in the space program. My spinal cord does Labview while my brain struggles with C.
I am retired now for 20 years. A person asked for a copy of my Spirograph program I wrote 18 years ago. But I have to compile it.
I will have to get a new Mac and load the community edition. I have avoided going beyond Mojave because of Labview (pre Community which I found last month) and Adobe, Mathematicia, and other expensive programs I use occasionally. Too much $$/use !!
Another person asked for my code for a pc. I avoid PC’s as much as possible. Decades ago I used to write on Mac and run on pc’s. Can I install Community edition on my pc and load my source code on the pc and expect it to run? I have a compiled version for the pc,, made 18 years ago, I don’t have the source except which is still on my Macs.
Its mostly simple math, graphing and file operations ??
Please help me through the mazes
thanks, Mike
