What software versions, OS version, interface card driver name,
manufacturer, etc, etc?

So I assume you are not running LabVIEW on a Mac?

That is correct, I'm running on Windows XP, the problem is that the drivers which are supposed to be compatible with Windows XP will not work with LabView 5.1

Doesn't LabVIEW 5.1 predate Windows XP?
Any reason that you can't upgrade?

Hi Rob,

If possible, I would definitely suggest upgrading versions of LabVIEW (latest version is 7.1 for Windows) as this would be the most immediate and easiest solution.

In referring to the LabVIEW 5 User Manual, LabVIEW 5 is officially supported on Windows 95 and NT. Since Windows XP did come out after LabVIEW 5.x, LabVIEW 5.x was most likely not tested in XP.

What kind of interface cards are you using? Are you communicating to any hardware using LabVIEW?
