Labview Mac and Windows executable builder cross-platform compatible?

I'm interested in developing a redistributable application using Labview that communicates with a USB device.  I've used the application builder before for specific platforms. Is it possible with a single set of VIs to develop an application and use the executable builder to create executable versions for Windows XP, Windows 98, and Mac OS X?  If so, do I need to buy the executable builder module for both Windows and Mac platforms? Does Labview 8 permit building executables for older operating systems such as Windows 98? (Windows XP is my development platform).

As long as you don't use any Windows specific functions (i.e. ActiveX, 3D Graphs), then you can use the same set of VIs for Windows and MAC but you will need LabVIEW for MAC and the LabVIEW for MAC app builder. Support for Win98 was dropped with LabVEIW 7.1 and as far as I know, that hasn't changed with LabVIEW 8.
