Labview Multisim API toolkit, How to control multisim

Hi,

I would like to control either a switch or a power source in Multisim via Labview by using the API toolkit.

However, whatever I try, it doesn't work.

Does anyone have an example of how to do it?

Note that I don't want to use the LabVIEW-Multisim Co-simulation feature since it's limited to 24 input/output.

Thanks!

Judith

Hello Judith,

Possibly this information will be helpful for your, it is regarding co simulation between LabVIEW and Multisim:

Have a good one.

Hi Luis,

Thanks for your feedback. However, we had already looked into those white paper and they do not cover exactly what we want to do.

For the first one you posted, http://www.ni.com/white-paper/13663/en/, it's not a good solution for our project since it's limited to 24 input or output. Also, it would be impossible for us to divide our multisim file so we can have more than one multisim bloc to have more than 24 input/output.

On the second one, http://www.ni.com/tutorial/5933/en/, I dont realy understand with that solution how to control a swith or a power source on Multisim via Labview. Do you have a concrete example? The one in attatchmenet does not have that function.

Thanks

Judith

Hi,

Here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite 14.0\samples\LabVIEW Multisim API Toolkit you will find the examples of the API. Also I've found the following links that may help you.

Hi,

I don't see any example in

C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\Circuit Design Suite 14.0\samples\LabVIEW Multisim API Toolkit

or http://www.ni.com/white-paper/14836/en/

on how to set an input to multisim via labview.

Is there an easy way to control a DC voltage source via labview?

Thanks

Hi,

I did a co simulation with LabVIEW to control a V source, take a look at the files attached, I think that if you play with it will be the best to understand the feature.
