Labview community edition license question: Usage for engineers at home

Hello!

I am an engineer who wants to learn LabView using online tutorials and Udemy courses. I am learning LabView to improve my skillset.

My organization uses LabView but I am not allowed to access it currently.

However, I wanted to learn LabView on my own at home using my personal computer. I will not be doing any company related work/projects.

Can I use community edition license?

I think I can safely say 'yes'.

Sounds safe to me. Even if you would occasionally look at company code it would not be a real problem as long as they have valid licenses. The only real problem would arise if you started your own business and used LabVIEW to write programs for any of your clients. That would be a clear violation of the Community License. As long as you or someone else doesn't earn money from the work you do in the Community Edition, you are safe.

Educating yourself to be a better LabVIEW programmer is explicitly one of the reasons the Community Edition exists.
