Labview does not recognize USB-8451

Hi All,

I am trying to control a USB-8451 using Labview. The module was previously working, but suddenly stopped being recognized by Labview.

The device can be found in the windows device manager and NI MAX, and the green LED is blinking.

The device does not show up in the NI device monitor.

In Labview, I have tried to enter the device reference manually (USB0::VENDOR_ID::PART_ID::SERIAL_NUMBER::RAW), but I still receive  error-301706 (device reference is invalid).

Any help in debugging this issue is greatly appreciated.

Hi istmepico,

I found this forum post that addresses a similar issue: https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Newbie-Modified-8451device-ref-to-alias-R-W-VI-get-error-301706/td-...

Additionally, I'm guessing you already tried this, but you can programmatically detect it by following this article: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/D6A79640103C4E0E8625714D006A1E1E

Best,

Zoe B.
