Hello,
I'm working on a data acquisition project in LabView 2010 SP1 composed by a LabView Host program (XP SP3 PC) and a CRIO acquisition module.
In a Labview installer (Host program) which modules in "Additional Installers" must I select to have the "NI-RIO device setup" program installed on a Client PC.
Thanks in advance,

Hello,
You will require the NI-RIO driver from the additional installers section to run this program on a target PC. I hope that your application goes to plan.
Kind Regards

Hello,
I have installed the NI-RIO driver but it does not install the RIO device setup to the Client PC.
For more details of the problem please look at this topic:

Hello,
Is the RIO driver that you have installed the latest version? This can quite often be the cause of this problem. The following two articles explain well both reasons why your device might not be showing up in MAX and how to go about troubleshooting it:

Hello,
The RIO driver I have installed is the 3.6.0 and the software on the CRIO is also at version 3.6.0.
The connection between my Host and the CRIO is functional (shared variables and network streaming) and I can access the CRIO with "NI Network Browser" without any problem but not in MAX.
I dont think that my problem is the connection but the lack of some secondary software in my installer. As said befor after installation the "RIO device setup" is not present on my Client PC.

Hello,
Could you please list the drivers that you are including in the installer? If you haven't already then I would recommend including the DAQmx driver in the installer.
Kind Regards

Hello,
Here is the list of installed components on the Client. I don't install the DAQmx driver, I will try that option now.

Hello,
I have made 2 tests :
Making the installer with DAQmx drivers --> It is the same as before = no RIO device setup and CRIO undetected in MAX
Making the installer with all proposed drivers --> It is the same as before = no RIO device setup and CRIO undetected in MAX
What I see is that the NI-RIO 3.6.0 is installed but the subComponent of the RIO 3.6.0 named CompactRIO 3.6.0 is not installed.
When I use the NI Device and Drivers DVD and install the Reconfigurable I/O and Real-Time and Embedded modules everything works !
My Host projet does not contain a RT target. My RT project is completely separated. Is it possible that there is a problem and that the Host installer does not include some components if there is not a CRIO declared as target in his project structure ???
Have you already installed a "RIO device setup" trough a personal installer ?
After all these tests I doubt about the possibility to do that without a NI Device and Drivers DVD...

Hello,
From the screenshot that you previously attached, I noticed that you did not have the CompactRIO driver included. Could you clarify that you are selecting both the RIO and CompactRIO drivers in the Additional Drivers section of the installer?

Hello,
In the list of Additional Drivers of the installer (LV 2010SP1 pro , RT, FPGA) there is only the NI-RIO 3.6.0 driver that can be selected (see the images attached).
How to select a CompactRIO driver ?
Is there a manipulation to make to have more drivers proposed in the Additional Drivers section ?
