The FA (0d250) is the modbus address identifier for all devices on the current line. If I were using more than one, I'd set their addresses and use them as the first byte to address individual devices.
I can't decide whether the serial driver is running too slowly on the new computer, or if Labview is running too fast. Either way, clearing the race condition has worked, so thanks again...
