Ofcourse not. I've been into sound engineering for a while and I understood that the limitations you mentioned were for a real time situation. My project is purely academic and need not be realtime, as in I won't be using it for my music. I will use a pre-recorded wav file for my project. For now, I'll read the manuals and focus on understanding the theory behind the effects and algorithms. Thanks for your help, I'll post back when I'm done reading and start some practical work.

I am somewhat curious about the hardware cost in this video demonstration Norbert, do you have any estimate? You may use $ or Euro.
At the beginning of the video, Vineet Arggawal talks about the used device for sampling and modifying the sound from the microphone. He used an PXI 7831R device. I am not aware that he used some other NI devices for this demo, but i am not sure. He at least built some interface for selecting channels for replay and delaying (the board standing on the PXI chassis), but i think this is custom made.So all in all i think the cost of this demo comes to a single RIO device and (if not already available) LV FPGA.

hello friends,
i have made an new series of signal analysist tool signex analyzator pro1.0 it is capable of calculating the FFT & THD with near to signal approximation capabilites by using labview & signal express 2.5 & 3.0 as well as i opted for the hardware for data aquisition NI USB-6009. I wish to expand my work. i want you all who wished to see my application can mail me so can i mail u back.......for opinions thankyou.
