Labview using modbus i/o server over ethernet causes ocs to send exception messages

When I start up a modbus i/o server over ethernet I can grab registers once, but after that my ocs starts spewing exception messages and I can't access the registers.  Everything works ok when I use the device over a serial connection and I have full access to the registers using a different program over both serial and ethernet.  Does anyone have some advice for me?

Thanks  🙂

Since it works fine over serial and not ethernet, I would double check out network security settings. Do you have any ports or traffic blocked? Try disableing any firewalls or viris blockers and see if it works.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no dice.  Funny thing is that I can use other programs to access my device, but not labview...  so I believe it is something to do with labview itself.

Can you open up the distributed system manger and watch the variables from there to see when and if they go offline. Also can you post any screenshots error messages or unexpected behavior so we cans ee exactly what is going wrong.
