Labview will not load program when Japanesse language support is enabled.

I work for a multinational Japanesse Company and use Labview to take data on a daily basis. I also need to view Japanesse text so that I can utilize translation software in comunication with our parent company. When Japanesse Text is enabled on the system the file location changes from C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6\instr.lib to C:¥Program Files¥National Instruments¥LabVIEW 6¥instr.lib. I belive the change from the character \ to the ¥ to be the problem. In order to view the Japanesse Text Japanesse must be the primary language with English support. Is there a solution that will enable me to use labview with Japanese language support enabled?

What do you mean it won't load? What error message or symptom do you
see
? The characters for path separation aren't actually saved in the
path. They are just drawn there for us to read, so this is a good
guess, but I don't think it is the problem. Additionally, LV is very
popular in Japan and we have a number of Japanese machines on the LV
team and it shouldn't cause a problem.

Can't be really helpful, I'm afraid, but FWIW about 12/18 months ago I

was developing a LV app for compact FieldPoint and did so on a machine
that was primary-English but with Japanese enabled support, since my
hobby happens to be the Japanese language. I never noticed any
problems, but I remember those flakey path changes appearing from time
to time....
Again, depending on a number of things peculiar to your setup, I don't
think you should need to have Japanese declared the primary
environment...unless your employer enforces some standard config. with
that characteristic, of course 8-(

Ganbatte kudasai!
