Labview2017 will disable my wifi connection

Hi there,

I have been experiencing the same issue as has been investigated in this thread (WiFi is disabled after a sleep/hibernation cycle with LabVIEW 2019 and DAQmx installed, amongst several other NI products), and just wanted to speak up about it as another case of this happening so there is as much information as possible about how widespread the issue is.

I am a student who has little more than a year's experience with LabVIEW, so although I might not be fully acquainted with the inner workings of the program or Windows in general and how to debug issues like this, I have found this thread very helpful at ascertaining possible ways to deal with it.

I am currently using what seems to be the best method discussed here: turning off NI PXI Chassis Management Service and NI PXI Resource Manager while I am not using them. I did this by setting their start-up type to Manual in Services. I have tried using LabVIEW with these services turned off to see if it still works for me, and it does; but I admit that my use of LabVIEW might be quite basic compared many other people’s, so I can’t say if it will impact the functionality of the program for others using this method to deal with the issue.

Thank you very much for the diligent work being done in trying to solve this issue,
Finn
