Anyone have experience with micro epsilon 2800 laser line scanner or other similar hardware?? I need to measure a profile at the end of an automotive piston pin. I would like to rotate the laser line 180 or 360 degrees and measure cross sections. I could also measure with the laser line in a vertical position and scan across the part. But I think it would be harder to make circular cross sections from linear scanned data.
