Legacy software and drivers required for cRIO-9012

Please list the minimum software and drivers to allow connection from a PC via Ethernet cable to a working cRIO-9012.

Our software was lost in a reorganization.

I understand this is not a usual request. Unfortunately this is all the information I currently am able to share.

Hi Riddler,

There are two answers:

  1. To program that cRIO9012 you should consult this website. Just select your device from dropdown to see the LabVIEW support.
  2. To just "connect via Ethernet" your PC needs to support basic protocols like TCP or UDP. Any (recent) LabVIEW is able to do so… (Which protocols is your cRIO talking?)

I think Gerd was intending to include this link in his post: https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/09/software-support-for-compactrio--compac...

In there you can see that you need LabVIEW 8.2 to 2018 SP1 and the according Realtime and FPGA Toolkits to program your device. In addition you need the CompactRIO drivers between 15.0 to 18.5 in pretty much all situations where you don’t operate the cRIO in full standalone mode with none or only your own custom TCP/IP configuration from the host.
