I've just loaded up LV 8.5.1 onto my Win7/64 machine to support some older apps that we have.
When I loaded the executable for the app, it'd run just fine, and I could get to the 1 Remote Panel that's licensed to my Development system. So far, so good.
I needed to test out the multiple Remote Panel licenses for a customer in Turkey, so I loaded up a 5 RP license that I hadn't installed before. The strange thing is, in the License Manager, it shows "Total Licenses 100"? Now, if I could get 100 licenses, so much the better, but...
I tried running our app, and logging into a Remote Panel, and I don't connect to anything, not even the 1 RP that we had licensed before! It appears that I don't even see the server!
So, I fired up the License Manager, and noticed a button on the top bar to "Start License Server", but when I press it, I get a message that "The requested operation requires TCP/IP to be installed." Well, I've checked my network properties, and I do have TCP/IP up and running (and I have no problem getting to the internet).
So, anyone have any idea as to what's going on? Does 8.5.1 have a problem with Win7 (although the app worked just fine, giving me 1 RP before I loaded up the 5 RP license)?
