At which point can we be sure that the code is "al dente"?? 😄

(This reminds me of one of the early spell/grammar checker implementations on the word processor of the VAX780. Sometimes we write a list of references such as "altenbach et al., 1990" or similar. Now the grammar checker complains about the "et al." saying that "abbreviations should be spelled out in formal writing". OK, so lets just delete that period ("et al"), but now it complains that "al is usually followed by dente". Can't win! Alway got a chuckle out of that. :D)
