I'm looking for an example of a vi that has a user log in and password that would allow the user to change the password after some expiration date.
I found a post in the forum but it was LV7.1 and I only have 7.0.
I know I'll need to use some sort of encryption for the file, so if I could get an example of that too it would be great.
Thanks

Hi,

Is the other post something that would be adaptable for your purposes?  There would likely be very little difference between a VI built in 7.1 and one done in 7.0.  I did a quick search of "encryption" here in the forums and found quite a few posts on the topic.  I would think that you'd be able to piece something together pretty well by using what's already out there.

Peter,

I beleive that the vi in 7.1 would be fine the problem is that I can't open them. Is there a way to view LV7.1 vi using 7.0?

As far as the encryption, I will search the forum.

Thanks,

Jeff

If you post either a link to the thread where you found the 7.1 vi or the vi itself, I'm sure someone would be happy to save it to 7 for you.

Duh! Thanks, I don't know what I was thinking.
If some one could save these vi's to LV 7.0 I would appreciate it.
There are six vi's altogether.
Thanks.
