Position Summary:
Systems Engineer with experience in LabVIEW development, instrumentation interface and system control. The engineer is expected to develop the software and GUI, select and integrate necessary instrumentation to meet requirements and properly document design. In addition, the engineer is expected to be able to specify electrical and electronic interfaces necessary in the development of a system.
Essential Job Functions (listing most important first):
Will develop the software and GUI necessary to implement a data acquisition and control system.
Will select appropriate hardware instrumentation and control interfaces and integrate OEM and in-house equipment.
Will provide guidance in the development of electrical interface, schematic and wiring diagram of systems.
Will use electronic test equipment (Voltmeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Will generate software documentation such as requirement document, user manual, test procedures, test reports etc
Essential Job Requirements:
EDUCATION
Bachelor degree (BS) in computer, electronic, or systems engineering or a related technical discipline.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in LabVIEW development. Experience in PXI, DAQ systems, RS232 communications preferred. Five or more years of related experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Able to develop the software and GUI necessary to implement a data acquisition and control system.
