Remember that in LabVIEW the "wires" are variables and so can the controls and indicators. If, from the diagram side, you "right click" on the indicators you have marked Y2 and X2 and you go down the drop down menu to Create, you will see a selection called Local Variable. Selecting that will cause a little box, with the same name as the indicator, to appear. You can place this anywhere on the diagram (of this vi, it can't be copied/moved to another vi, it is just an appendage of the original control) and either read from or written to. It isn't a great idea to use locals too much, for a number of reasons, ranging from performance hits to obscuring code, but they are there and can be used. This would allow you to have the "write" code in another loop. If you made that other loop with an event structure, and had the write code in an event triggered by a change to either of the two values, Y2,X2, then it would only output when they changed.
