MAX: Export Configuration not available

Hi,

I tried to export my MAX configuration by using the Configuration-Export-Wizard (I only know the German name), but the dialog says no appropriate NI-programs were installed.
I'm using LabVIEW 7 and MAX 3.0.1.3005.
What do you suggest to do?

Hi Andreas

My question is: What kind of information do you want to export? The export function works for products like NI-DAQmx Tasks, Historical Data Viewer (VI logger) and so on. If no product is listed, then you've no configuration files to export with this command.
If you want to "export" your traditional virtual channels or scales, then goto Tools>>NI-DAQ configuration>>Save configuration as ...

Hope this helps

Luca

Thanks, Luca,

I didn't know that this export function is not suited to export traditional virtual channels. But if I have a mixture of both traditional and DAQmx channels (I'll have it soon..) it would be useful to be able to export
all configuration date in one step..

Hi Andreas:

Luca is right. The MAX Configuration-Export-Wizard only exports DAQmx channels/tasks. If you have traditional DAQ channels, you can convert them to DAQmx channel type by clicking on Tools -> NI-DAQmx Configuration -> Convert Traditional NI-DAQ Configuration to NI-DAQmx.

Also, you need to have NI-DAQmx installed to use these features.

Hi,
is it also possible to import IVI configurations. I attach you a MAX exportation file that was done succesfully but I cannot open it. Some idea?
Thanks,

Angel
