I have Labview 8.2 and the Vision package 8.2.0 (including IMAQdx for 1394 2.0.4 and IMAQdx 3.0.0) installed on a computer with Windows XP SP2 and a Texas Instruments OHCI compliant IEEE1394 host controller. My firewire camera Pixelink A-662 can aqcuire frames with the OEM capture software and works fine.
My problem is that I cannot see it in the measurement and automation explorer under Devices and Interfaces, even after refreshing/rebooting the system. "Install legacy driver support" returns that all files are up-to-date.
When I select "create new" device, I cannot choose a NI-IMAQdx or a IEEE1394 camera, but have only other options (SCXI, DAQmx, GBIP-VXI, PXI, ENET, VISA TCPIP), that do not look so promising.
What can I do to use my camera in LabView?

Hi,
The case may be that your camera is still attached to your manufactures driver, so you need to associate the camera to the NI driver this should enable you to view it in max.
Here is a link that may help show you how to do this:

Hope this helps.Regards,11-18-2008 01:17 AM
