MAX crashing in win98

Hello Ben,
When you say "test" do mean in MAX or in LabVIEW? Is there an error code with the error? If so, can you post exactly what it says? Does the card show up correctly in the Windows device manager without a yellow question mark?

The card appears fine in Windows Device Manager... When I run MAX 3.0.2 I have the problem. The cards show up fine in the explorer under Devices and Interfaces...

When I enter the 16XE-50 card I can go into Properties. From there when I press the Test Resources button I have had three outcomes:
1) program hangs and I must kill it using ctrl-alt-del
2) I have received "first irq not responding"
3) I have received "first DMA not responding"

When I was using the older program nidaqcfg /old the card worked fine. When I upgraded to 3.0.2 I encountered the problem. Maybe I should go back?

Thanks in advance!

Got back to working on this... I found somthing in your KnowledgeBase link:
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/1ac9e52fb72ae30886256e940067da61?OpenDocument

So this is what I am experiencing. But I cannot upgrade to 7.2 since I am running windows 98. I am going to hook up the sensors and see if it works. The message states that I can still acquire data so it might still work.

THANKS, I'll let you know what happens but it wont be until probably tomorrow.
