MAX explorer 4.5 won't repair/uninstall

I just had a new hard drive installed and the migration of my old drives caused problems. I attempted to perform an uninstall then reinstall of Labview v8.6.1. The MAX Explorer 4.5 won't install properly. I tried using MSIBlast to repair and got the following sequence of error messages: 1. Error 1324 The folder path 'Program Files' contains an invalid character.  2. Error 1603 occurred when trying to repair NI MEasurement and Automation Explorer 4.5.  When I trie dto uninstall I again got the same two errors. Any suggestions on how to proceed, since currently I cannot not repair or uninstall? Thanks.

The only way to uninstall MAX is uninstall everything that NI touches on your computer. If you have 8.6.1 installed, that will likely need to be uninstalled.

Before you are ready to try this all over again, go to the following location and delete everything:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\MAX
