MAX file location

I have a PXI Chassis configured via MAX and I need to be able to back up the configuration without going to MAX and exporting. I've looked at information on this board that mentions niconfig.daq, but I'm guessing this for Traditional DAQ ? It doesn't seem to be of the right size, contain the right text, etc

Anyways, I would like to know the location of any and all relevant files on the Host PC or the RT Target that are needed.

Regards,

Carl

Hello,

A better rundown of your configuration, including the exact drivers that you are using would help out. If this is a RT target that you are trying to back up, then the System Replication Tools would be a good thing to check out: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3937 . Why can you not use MAX to export your settings? You can programmatically import and export settings from MAX using LabVIEW: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/BBB5B94C038267DF8625723E00030559?OpenDocument

I am attempting to automate a backup mechanism for the end user. If someone has to go into MAX, it makes for yet another application someone has to go into and click more buttons, name more files, etc

Read what Zach had to say again. There are the functions in LabVIEW to export the MAX configuration.
