MAX no error given

Hello, I'll appreciate some help in this issue I am using Labview 2010 and Max 4.8. I have a NI PCIe 6363 board connected to a SCXI 1001 chassis and I created a Task and Global Virtual Channel in MAX of a random channel.

I wanted to test that I lose communications with the SCXI chassis because we are supposed to have a real time system.

When I try to run them with the chassis OFF I get an error that is offline which is good.

But when I turn it on and run the task or global channel and then turn the chassis off MAX keeps acting like its acquiring without giving me any errors. How am I supposed to know that the chassis is offline if it is not giving me errors?

Hi Bertha,

That is the expected behavior, but there are ways to monitor this. Here is a good example that seems to do exactly what you want. I hope that helps.
