MIDI IN

Hello All,

Well it is time to bring this up again, getting MIDI data in to and out of LabView.  The posted solution (see above) is great if you are using 32bit LabView, but will not (at I can not get it work) work on 64bit LabView.  I believe the wrapper dll is 32bit and needs to be recompiled for 64bit.  I am not a c programmer and not up to the tast.  It would be greatly appreciated if someone would take a crack at this.

Hello Larry,

I would like to kindly ask you, if you can help me with MIDI IN in LV. I tried many things including midithroughput.vi but still no success. I willing to bring my project back to life see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEeMC5BWjEQ&app=desktop

Thank you in advance for you reply. Best regards

Jara

I have to add that I found the problem and it works now. It was because of USB MIDI connection. As written here

"When a MIDI/USB keyboard is recognized by Windows, it is added to the menu in the Audio tab described above. Unfortunately, Windows does not know if the USB audio device is available for input only, output only, or both."
