You could have aksed it in your previous post since it concerns the same functions.

Hi,

The following Developer Zone article contains a program that uses LabVIEW to select a MIDI device, channel, patch, volume, and pitch, and to play the note for one second, as well as other features.

Communicating with a Windows MIDI Device in LabVIEW

Hope this helps!

Sorry about the multiple posts, I appologize.

I don't think I was specific enough in my last post either.  I am using the MIDI-OX/MIDI Yoke/MIDI Bar to read MIDI files.  I was wondering if there was a function in LabVIEW that can read the information from the MIDI-OX/MIDI Yoke/ MIDI Bar, so that I can write programs on an external DSP device, where I will be applying filters, synths, etc to the MIDI file then outputting it from the DSP device.  I have an info PDF file that says there is a MIDI read function that is found as a custom numeric VI.  I have LabVIEW 8.2, and the file concerns LabVIEW 8.5.  Is there a way I can configure my program in 8.2 to do this, or must I upgrade to 8.5, or is this even possible?

Hi,

If you attach the VI, I can convert it to 8.2 for you. Otherwise, you'll need to open it in 8.5.

Thanks!
