Mandatory terminal input

When creating sub vis can I create an input that if not

wired would create an error ?

Yes!

When you wire the connector pane select the terminal right-click and chose "this connection is-  required"

Also, note that there is an options setting on the Front Panel Tab to make "Connector pane terminals default to Required".
