Measurement and Automation Explorer Unlicensed mode

Hello

I am currently recieving the following error in Measurement and Automation Explorer

"This software is not currently licensed.  Without a registered license you may not have acces to many features available to only licensed version"  and then buttons that say the following:

"Purchase a license" (Grayed)

"Run License Manager " (Grayed)

"Run in unlicensed mode"

The only button I can select is "Run in unlicensed mode".  I select it and seem to be able to do everything I want.

This is a mchine that at one point had Labview 7.1 installed on it but then it was removed, Measurement and Automation explorer was left on along with a 7.1 runtime engine. Does anyone know what is going on here and why I am getting this msg?

Hi Trent-

The message you're seeing is expected any time you attempt to use the DAQ Assistant (which is invoked automatically by MAX) without having a licensed version of any NI ADE's on your machine.  This is only a warning and not an error, so that explains why you are still able to use full functionality.  Also, it makes sense that you only see this after removing your previously installed version of LabVIEW.
