Measuring voltage only when a digital pulse "arrives"

Hello,

I'm using Labview 8 and PCI- 6251.
I'm trying to get the voltage of an analog signal every time a digital pulse arrives (i.e. I don't want an average voltage, just the momentarily voltage at that exact time). Is that posible ?
If that works, I want to splitt the digital pulse and also record the time between each two digital pulses so that for each digital pulse I'll have the corresponding voltage from the analog signal and a time stamp (or the time difference from the previous pulse).

Any advise to get me started will be appreciated...

Check through the examples that ship with LabVIEW (Help->Find Examples, then navigate the tree to Hardware Input and Output->DAQmx->Analog Measurements->Voltage). There are some that show you how to set up analog acquisitions using digital lines as triggers.
