Menu ring does not work with VNC

Hi,
I use VNC to remotely control a PC executing LabVIEW VIs. It
works, but "menu ring" (pop-up menus) controls do not work when
remotely clicking on them.

Any idea?

Thanks,

what program r u using? I used UltraVNC and Remote Administrator. Both works under XP. I had problem with win2K (server side). Right now, I'm using UltraVNC over the LAN. Under full screen mode, sometimes I forgot I was working on a remote machine!

I have a work around if you do not use the value change event with the same menu ring. Set the keyboard navigation to a value say [F6]. When you send the [F6] then menu will become active then you can scroll through the selections with the up & down arrow keys. You still can only see one item at a time and it will register a value change in the event structure, which makes this approach only work in certain cases.

To set the keyboard navigation right click on the menu control select the advanced then keyboard navigation.

Admittedly we need a better fix and hopefully someone else will have a better answer.

Hi Germ,

Try opening LabVIEW and go into Tools -> Options -> Miscellaneous and select the Disable menu animation option. The display on your remote display system should update correctly.
