This error is related to what LabVIEW refers to as an 'insane object.' These errors, along with some possible solutions, are discussed in the following Knowledge Base article:

Also, it appears that there was a bug in LabVIEW 6.0.x that caused these types of issues. If you are using this version of LabVIEW, you may want to consider upgrading. LabVIEW versions 6.1 and later have fixed this issue.
