Hi everyone,
Currently I'm working on a hardware architecture but I meet some troubles. I would like to associate a GiGE camera with a microPC (pico-ITX or mini-ITX formats).
Here is my idea : deploying LabVIEW-RT with NI Vision module developpement and developing a RT-based application. But I fear that the microPC I selected does not match with LabVIEW RT ! I thought about this model : Commel LP-170C (pico-ITX format) or that one KTQM67/mITX (mini-ITX format). Have you any idea about compliant references you could suggest me ? Of course, the smaller the better it would be !
Thanks for all !

You can convert a standard desktop to a Real-Time target.

I've never done it but I'm unsure if there is a licensing cost, it looks like there is.

I know not all PCs are compatible but I thought I read somewhere the compatibility issue was on the ethernet port. Something about the kernel needs a certain series of ethernet controller to work. Here is a link to see if you are compatible.

Thanks for your help ! After a research in requirements : https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/supplemental/08/requirements-for-desktop-pcs-as-phar-lap... I did not succeed in finding informations about Intel Atom compatibility with LabVIEW-RT. Does someone know if that model of pico-ITX : Commel LP-170A is compliant with LabVIEW-RT ?
Thanks

If Atom isn't listed, it isn't supported. Still there are many Mini-ITX and several Mico-ITX with the Core I3 processor.
Still you could look into NI hardware. For $2,000 you get a Linux Real-Time, with built in FPGA and I/O expansion in a small-ish form factor.
Smaller still is the 9033 but that is alot more in cost.
