As a longtime LabVIEW developer, with projects spanning LabVIEW 3.0 -> LabVIEW 8+. I have tons of VIs. I have a pretty good organizational scheme that has matured over the past 15+ years. Of course, many 'utility' vis that I use often, have a designated location... and I know where they are. But sometimes I run into problems that I know I have solved in the past... and after many NI weeks, and killed braincells, I do not remember what project or version of LabVIEW I created the solution for... So I have to scour my previous projects (OK I admit, I rarely look past Version 5... but that is neither here nor there.) with the desktop search indexing my emails in outlook... I no longer have tons of email folders... I only have one for saved professional correspondence and one for saved personal correspondence. I use desktop search to find what I am looking for. With that being said...an Ifilter would be great. A cursory google search has turned up zippo.
So before I try to tackle building my own ifilter, I thought I might ask... maybe some of you C gurus out there could whip it together pretty quick, or better yet, does someone already have one?
BR,
Paul
